I do love a Personal Development book by I do not love buying them and not resonating, and then they sit on my shelf for an age! So here are a few of my personal favourites;

Light is the new Black
This book changed everything…
And that’s no exaggeration. I even have a triangle tattoo on my wrist to symbolise all the good things like strength and adventure. This book came into my life at a time when I really needed direction, I was finding my spiritual self but was struggling to break away from ‘the expected’… ever since I decided to take a leap, it’s worked out!

Big Magic – Creative Living beyond Fear
The business game changer
I had just lost my job, my ‘woo woo’ creative ideas were flowing but seemed crazy to try and make a living out of them… then I was gifted this one and THANK YOU generous friends!

Feel the Fear and Do it Anyway
Another gift from my sister this time, she’s not big into Personal Development books loved this one. A book that ‘has helped millions of people overcome their fears and heal the pain in their lives with her simple but profound advice’ and ‘will give you the insight and tools to vastly improve your ability to handle any given situation. You will learn to live your life the way you want – so you can move from a place of pain, paralysis, depression and indecision to one of power, energy, enthusiasm and action.’

The Art of Happiness – A Handbook for Living
I read this cover to cover over a matter of days! Who else knows the true secret to happiness than his holiness the Dalai Lama? combining the Dalai Lama’s eastern spiritual tradition with Dr Howard C. Cutler’s western perspective, how to apply the principles of Tibetan Buddhism to everyday problems and reveal how one can find balance and complete spiritual and mental freedom.

Milk & Honey
I’m not usually a poetry reader but this was just all together different. Milk & Honey is a collection of poetry and prose about survival. About the experience of violence, abuse, love, loss, and femininity (might make you cry – this one hit deep!)
I’m interested in ‘feel the dear’ it’s come up a few times just lately.
